We are a small, licensed Houston team that treats every client like family, and every caregiver like one of our own. If that is the work you were made for, we would love to meet you.
About five minutes. A real person calls you back.
We are private pay and small on purpose, which means we can pay our caregivers what the work is worth, support them like family, and place them with people who fit. Here is what that looks like.
Competitive pay
Private-pay clients let us pay our caregivers what the work is worth, on time, every time.
Matched to families
We match people, not shifts. You are placed with families who fit your strengths and your heart.
Real support
You are never out there alone. Our care team has your back, day or night, with a real person to call.
Flexible shifts
Days, nights, weekends, overnights, or live-in. We build a schedule around the life you actually have.
A team that stays
Small on purpose, licensed in Texas, and built to last. You join a team, not a roster.
Work that matters
You are not a number here, and neither is your client. This is care that changes a family's whole season.
The standard is simple. Living it is the work.
You do not need a long resume to belong here. You need warmth, patience, and the kind of reliability a worried family can lean on. The rest, we will build with you.
- 01
Treat every client like family
The bar Dexter set in 2016 and our team clears every day. Warmth first, always.
- 02
Show up, and stay
Reliable through the hard seasons and the gentle ones. Families learn they can count on you.
- 03
Patience and presence
Calm hands and a steady heart, especially when memory changes or recovery is slow.
- 04
Care for the whole person
You see the person, not the diagnosis. Dignity, company, and comfort come with the help.

“You are never just a client here. You are family.”
Norvelle Adams
Caregiver Supervisor, the bar we hold
No two placements are the same. We match you to families and conditions that fit your strengths, then we grow your skills from there.
Companion Care
Presence, not just help.
Some of the most important work has no clinical name. The second cup of coffee, the ride to the hairdresser, the card game at two in the afternoon. You become the reason a long day has company in it, and the reason a family three cities away can finally breathe.
Personal Care
Dignity in the everyday.
Bathing, dressing, a safe move from the bed to the chair. The most intimate help there is, given the way you would want it given to your own mother. Unhurried, matter of fact, and with the person's dignity the first thing in the room.
Overnight Care
The watch through the small hours.
When the house is dark and the family is finally asleep, you are the one awake and listening. A safe walk to the bathroom at three in the morning. A fall that never happens because you were already there. The quiet shift that lets a whole family rest.
Dementia & Alzheimer's Care
Meeting them where they are.
You learn the routines that steady a fraying memory, the songs that still land, the way to turn a hard moment without ever correcting. When the names slip, you are the familiar face that does not. This is patience as a craft, and we train you for it.
Parkinson's Care
Steady hands for unsteady days.
You learn the rhythm of the good hours and the hard ones, the careful timing of medications, the safe way to move when the body will not cooperate. Calm, trained, and unrushed, so a tremor never becomes a fall.
Stroke Recovery
Rebuilding, one ordinary thing at a time.
The work after a stroke is made of small wins. A spoon held again, a sentence finished, a few more steps than yesterday. You carry the patience and the steady encouragement that turns a frustrating recovery into forward motion.
Respite & Short-Term Care
Relief a family can exhale into.
Sometimes the person who needs care most is the one giving it. You step in for a weekend, a trip, a hospital stay, so a worn out spouse or daughter can sleep, travel, or simply breathe, knowing their loved one is in steady hands.
Post-Surgery Recovery
The first weeks home, kept on track.
Recovery is won or lost in the small things. Medications on time, a dressing changed right, a walker kept within reach. You are the steady presence through the weeks that decide how the whole thing heals.
Hover, tap, or tab through a card to see the work behind it.

Dexter Dike
Founder, in home health since 2016
I built a team I would trust with my own family.
I have been in home health since 2016, and in 2021 I founded Giving Care Houston, the agency I always wished I could send to my own loved ones. Small on purpose, and licensed in Texas, HCSSA #023843.
From the start I asked our caregivers for one thing above all. Treat every client like family. The people who clear that bar do not work for me. They work with us, and our whole team has their back.
For the team, on behalf of the families we serve.
Start your application
Tell us about yourself. It takes about five minutes, and there are no wrong answers. A real person on our care team will follow up within one business day.
Five short steps, about five minutes. Nothing here is locked in.
The role you are after
Tell us where you fit. You can choose more than one, and nothing here is locked in.
This is about matching, not testing. Some of our families need a driver and some do not. Knowing helps us place you where you fit, not stretch you across the city.
Some families need rides to appointments and errands. A valid license opens those placements to you. We never ask for the number here.
About five minutes, and there are no wrong answers. We read every application and reply quickly, usually within one business day. A real person on our care team reaches out, never a call center.
Giving Care Houston is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome every qualified applicant and hire without regard to any characteristic protected by law. Employment is at-will. Need an accommodation to apply? Tell us and we will help.
Honest answers,
before you apply.
Still wondering about something? Ask us. A real person on our care team picks up.

No certification is required to start the conversation. CNA, HHA, and CPR or First Aid are all welcome, and so is real caregiving experience without a formal credential. We will talk it through.
We serve the Greater Houston area, including River Oaks, Memorial, Cypress, Katy, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Bellaire, West University, Spring, Tomball, and Pearland. You tell us where you can reach.
