Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we collect when you use our website or send us a form, how we use it, and the care we take with it. In plain terms: we use what you share only to help the person you reached out about, and we never sell it.

Who we are

Giving Care Houston, LLC is a Texas-licensed, non-medical home care agency, HCSSA License #023843, serving the Greater Houston area from Cypress, Texas. You can reach us any time at 713.732.0445 or info@givingcarehouston.com. This policy covers givingcarehouston.com and the forms on it.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to give us through this site:

  • When you request a consultation: your name, phone, email, and what you tell us about your loved one and the help they need.
  • When you apply to join our team: your contact details, work history, availability, certifications, and any documents you choose to upload (for example a resume or a license).
  • When you refer someone: your name and organization, and a first name or initials plus a brief situation for the person you are referring.
  • Basic site information: standard technical data your browser sends, such as device type and pages viewed, used to keep the site working.

What we never ask for online: we do not request a Social Security number or any government identification on a web form, for a family or for a caregiver applicant.

Cookies and storage

We keep this simple. Giving Care Houston does not use cookies for advertising or tracking, and we do not run third-party analytics or ad pixels on this website.

The one thing we store on your device is your in-progress caregiver application. If you start one, your answers are saved in your own browser so you do not lose your place if you step away. That stays on your device until you submit or clear your browser data, and it is never used to follow you around other sites.

How we use it

We use the information you share to:

  • Respond to you, usually with a phone call from a real person on our team.
  • Arrange a consultation and, if you choose us, plan and provide the care you ask for.
  • Review and follow up on caregiver applications.
  • Acknowledge and follow through on a referral.
  • Keep our records, meet our licensing obligations, and improve how we serve families.

We do not use your information for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell it. Ever.

How we share it

We share your information only in these limited ways:

  • Within our team, with the people who arrange and provide your care.
  • With trusted service providers who help us run the business, such as our email and document tools (Google Workspace), our website host, and, if you opt in, our text-messaging provider. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
  • With your own care providers, such as your doctor or hospice team, only when you ask us to.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

We never sell or rent your information, and we never share it for someone else's advertising.

Text messages

If you give us permission, we may text you to confirm a request or share an update about your care or application. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can stop at any time by replying STOP or texting HELP for help. We do not share your phone number with anyone for their marketing.

Your health information

Some of what you tell us, such as a loved one's diagnosis or care needs, is sensitive health information, and we treat it that way. We limit who sees it to the people arranging and giving care, and we protect it with reasonable safeguards.

A note on HIPAA: Giving Care Houston is a non-medical, private-pay agency. Because we do not bill health insurance electronically, we are generally not a HIPAA covered entity, so this is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. We still handle health information carefully and in keeping with Texas privacy law. If your situation ever involves a provider who is a HIPAA covered entity, that provider's own notice governs the information they hold.

Your choices

You can, at any time:

  • Ask us what information we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Opt out of texts (reply STOP) or ask us to stop emailing you.
  • Decline to provide information, though it may limit how we can help.

To make any of these requests, call 713.732.0445 or email info@givingcarehouston.com.

How long we keep it, and how we protect it

We keep your information only as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our legal and licensing obligations, then we dispose of it securely. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it, though no method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.

Children

This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Information about a care recipient is provided to us by an adult family member or representative.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. When we do, we will revise the date above. Your continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
