Who we text and why

Giving Care Houston, LLC texts its caregivers and its clients and their family contacts who opt in. Caregivers get texts about shift schedules, shift swaps, timesheets and pay. Clients and families get texts about visit schedules and billing. Some replies come from our automated text assistant, supervised by our staff. We do not send marketing texts. Our texts come from (281) 940-3739.

How you opt in

Caregivers opt in on our caregiver onboarding form: they check the optional text-message box, write their mobile number on the line under it, and sign and date the form.

Clients and their family contacts opt in on our client service agreement: the client checks the optional text-message box and signs and dates the agreement, and each person who wants texts, the client or a family contact, writes their own name and mobile number under the box and initials and dates it.

The box is never checked for you. Forms are signed on paper or as the same form signed electronically, and we keep signed forms on file.

The box reads the same on both forms:

I agree to receive text messages from Giving Care Houston about my schedule, pay and billing, including replies from its automated text assistant. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.

When we receive a signed form with the box checked, we send one text to confirm:

Giving Care Houston: You're signed up for texts about your schedule, pay and billing. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.

Here is the text-message section of each form, shown blank:
